Graphical User Interface Now Supports Japanese Language
Cupertino, Calif., 2006 June 16
Numetrics Management Systems, Inc., the leading provider of project planning tools in the semiconductor industry, announced the availability of a Japanese language mode for its Numetrics-NMX application graphical user interface (GUI).
When logging onto the Numetrics-NMX system, users simply set their language preference on the login page by inserting a check mark in the box labeled “Switch to Japanese.” When selected, all the tabs, sub-tabs, and drop-down menus appear in Japanese. In addition, text-entry fields, such as those for user and organizational unit names, now accept Japanese characters as text input.
“Nearly a third of the global top 20 semiconductor firms are located in Japan,” Ron Collett, President and CEO of Numetrics acknowledged. “Providing native language support demonstrates our ongoing commitment to these firms and the growing international demand for our solutions.”
“Numetrics-NMX is the most effective IC project planning solution available and a powerful component within a business process because it’s the only tool suite that generates accurate estimates of chip complexity, design cycle time, and the staffing levels necessary to meet target schedules,” states Seiji Miwa, General Manager of Numetrics Japan. “Japanese language support allows our customers in Japan to gain the benefits of Numetrics-NMX without requiring knowledge of English, which makes our solution more accessible, reduces the learning curve, and improves the productivity of users.”
Below is an example of a Numetrics-NMX GUI page with Japanese text. With robust demand for this feature, Numetrics continues to enhance the Japanese language mode of the GUI for NMX Applications.
